To provide better services for your Tencent Cloud account, The Application Protection of Container Security includes vulnerability defense and memory shell defense capabilities. To improve the clarity of the billing rules for application protection and ensure the long-term stable provision of its protection capabilities, Tencent Cloud plans to adjust the billing strategy for the Application Protection of Container Security. Details are as follows:
Adjustment Content:
1.Starting from 28 January 2026, the Application Protection capability will no longer be included in the newly purchased Professional Edition of Container Security. Customers who need to use the Application Protection function shall purchase the Enhanced Security Protection Package separately.
2.Customers who purchased the Professional Edition of Container Security before 28 January 2026 will be granted the Application Protection capability for free (granted at the account level, covering scenarios such as repurchase after expiration, renewal, and capacity expansion).
Impact of Adjustment:
This adjustment mainly affects customers who newly purchase the Professional Edition of Container Security after 28 January 2026; customers who have purchased the Professional Edition before 28 January 2026 will not be affected and can continue to use the Application Protection capability for free.
