[TencentDB for SQL Server] Announcement on the Monitoring System Optimization

Dear Tencent Cloud user,
To further enhance product monitoring performance and optimize the monitoring system architecture, Tencent Cloud will comprehensively optimize and upgrade the monitoring metric collection framework of TencentDB for SQL Server. The details are as follows:
Optimization Effect
After optimization, the new monitoring architecture can significantly improve the performance metric collection efficiency, reducing the CPU time slice consumption by 90% compared to the old architecture.
Release Time and Implementation Method
Release start time: May 13, 2026 (UTC+8).
Release end time: May 31, 2026 (UTC+8).
Implementation method: The switchover between the old and new monitoring systems will be performed during the instance maintenance window within the release period.
Impact Description
During the switchover, instances with different architectures will experience temporary impacts:
Instances with cloud disk architecture: Monitoring gaps of approximately 30 seconds and brief CPU spikes may occur.
Instances with local disk architecture: Monitoring gaps of approximately 1 minute may occur.
The above impacts only affect monitoring data display and do not affect the normal business operations or database services of the instances.
