This document describes how to share the log storage capacity of an administrator account with member accounts in a multi-account scenario. It includes the steps to enable and disable sharing, as well as an explanation of the meaning of each member account's Tag status.

Feature Overview

In multi-account scenarios, the log analysis module provides the capability to configure storage capacity sharing. This capability allows administrator accounts to flexibly share log storage capacity with multiple member accounts, enabling centralized management and collaborative operation of log storage resources across accounts.

Prerequisites

1. The current account is an administrator account/delegated administrator account and has purchased or been granted log storage capacity.
2. To share storage capacity, you must first enable the member account in Multi-Cloud and Multi-Account Management.

Operation Steps

1. Log in to the CSC console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Log analysis.
2. On the Log Analysis page, click Multi-account configuration in the upper-right corner.

3. On the Multi-Account Configuration - Log Analysis Capacity Sharing page, you can share log analysis capacity by using filters to locate the account for which you want to share the quota and then turning on the capacity sharing switch.

The following describes the meaning of the Tags to the right of the member account name:
Tag
Description
Account of the order
The current account has purchased storage capacity for the log analysis service.
Self-purchased
The current account has already purchased log storage capacity and cannot be shared.
Already Shared
The current account has already had storage capacity shared by another administrator account and cannot be shared again.
Data Cleanup in Progress
The current account has recently had capacity sharing canceled, is still cleaning up historical data, and cannot enable sharing.
4. On the Multi-Account Configuration - Log Analysis Capacity Sharing page, you can share capacity for a single account or in batches.
Note:
Currently, capacity can only be shared with Tencent Cloud accounts. Capacity quota sharing is not supported for third-party cloud accounts.
If you cancel capacity sharing for an account, the historical data of that account will be cleared immediately and cannot be restored.
After you enable it, the account will occupy log analysis storage capacity. Once storage capacity consumption occurs, fees cannot be refunded.
After you disable it, the log data stored by the account will be cleaned up immediately. Back up your data in advance, for example, by delivering logs to external storage for backup.
For a single account: Select the target member account, click the Share capacity switch, and then confirm the action twice for it to take effect.

To enable in batches: Select the target member accounts, click Batch Enable Sharing/Batch Close Sharing, and then confirm the action twice for it to take effect.
