What is a dedicated IP?
Shared IP: When using Tencent Cloud Email Push, emails are sent from IP addresses shared with other SES users by default. You can configure a dedicated IP for an additional fee.
Dedicated IP: A value-added service of Tencent Cloud Email Push. Unlike shared IPs, dedicated IPs are exclusively for paying users. Using a dedicated IP avoids interference from other users' email activities, protects the reputation of your sending domain and IP, and can improve email deliverability to some extent.

How much does a dedicated IP cost?
The unit price is: $120/piece/month. Using the monthly post-payment model, Tencent Cloud will deduct fees based on the number of independent IPs configured and enabled under your account in the previous month at the beginning of each month. Please see the pricing description for details. How many Dedicated IPs do I need?
The number of dedicated IPs required depends on your sending scenarios and QPS:
Each sending scenario (e.g., transactional, notifications, marketing) should have at least 1 dedicated IP. For redundancy, allocate at least 2 per scenario.
The exact number of dedicated IPs per scenario depends on your daily sending QPS.
Currently, each Tencent Cloud IP can safely handle up to 30 QPS. If your daily sending QPS is 200 and all emails must use dedicated IPs, you will need 200/30 ≈ 7 IPs.
For example, if you have three sending scenarios (e.g., transactional, notifications, marketing) and your sending QPS is 200:The recommended number of dedicated IPs is: 3 * (200/30) + 3 = 24.
How do I "purchase > apply > configure > use" a Dedicated IP?
2. Select Configuration > Dedicated IP to navigate to the "Dedicated IP" page.
The overall process is:
Activate the Dedicated IP value-added service.
Apply for a Dedicated IP (specify the number of IPs and configure sending domains).
The system automatically allocates the IPs.
Application successful, billing starts.
Note:
Sending domains should be categorized by scenario(e.g., transactional, notifications, marketing). Dedicated IPs should also be allocated accordingly.
Avoid using the same sending domain for both marketing/transactional emails and marketing emails, as this may harm domain reputation.
Similarly, avoid configuring a dedicated IP for both marketing and notification emails.
Can I disable a Dedicated IP?
Yes. You can disable it on the Dedicated IP management page. Note:
After disabling, the status changes to "Disabled," and billing stops.
Charges for the current month will be prorated based on actual usage and reflected in the bill on the 1st of the following month.
Is replacement free if a dedicated IP is blacklisted?
No, it is not. Dedicated IPs are pre-warmed and clean IP addresses exclusively allocated to you. They are isolated from other SES users, and their reputation is solely determined by your own sending behavior.
If your IP’s reputation declines or it gets blacklisted, you should promptly adjust your email content and sending patterns to improve its reputation. Alternatively, you may deactivate the current IP and apply for a new one.
