When the instance performance cannot meet the requirements for business changes or is in excess, you can perform the configuration adjustment operation to meet business needs or save costs.
Configuration Adjustment Capabilities
Compute and storage are not separated for read-only analysis engine instances of TDSQL-C for MySQL. Therefore, cross-server configuration adjustment may be required in case of resource scale-out or disk capacity shrinkage. During instance configuration adjustment, an instance node with new specifications will be started automatically. After node data synchronization is completed, the access route will switch from the original node to the new node. At this time, the configuration adjustment operation is completed.

Note:
Read-only analysis engine instances currently adopt the method of pulling data from the read-write instance within the cluster by default to create nodes. Therefore, it is recommended that you perform configuration adjustment operations during off-peak hours.
1. Log in to the TDSQL-C for MySQL console, and go to the configuration adjustment page according to the following operations in different view modes.
1. In the Cluster list on the left, click the target cluster to enter the cluster management page.
2. In Cluster Details, find the target read-only analysis engine instance in the instance information on the right, and click Adjust Configurations.

2. On the cluster management page, click Instance List > Read-Only Analysis Engine, find the target read-only analysis engine instance in the list, and click More > Adjust Configurations in the Operation column to go to the configuration adjustment page.
2. On the configuration adjustment page, adjust the compute specifications and disk size of the instance as needed, select the operation time, and click Buy Now.
Note:
Configuration adjustment will cause a momentary business disconnection. Select the operation time for configuration adjustment according to actual business needs.
If you select Upon upgrade completion, the momentary disconnection switch will be triggered right after the configuration adjustment is completed.
If you select Within maintenance time, the momentary disconnection switch will be performed during the maintenance period of the instance. To modify the instance maintenance period, see Modifying Instance Maintenance Time.
