Overdue Payments

Time
Description
7 days before expiration
The system will send you a renewal reminder notification.
On the expiration date
If your account balance is sufficient and you have enabled auto-renewal, the system will perform auto-renewal on the expiration date.
If your account has an overdue payment and neither auto-renewal nor manual renewal is performed, it will enter a 24-hour grace period.
Within 24 hours after expiration
The cluster can be used normally. If you renew the cluster during this period, the renewal cycle for the renewed cluster will start from the expiration date of the previous cycle.
If you do not manually renew the cluster, the cluster will enter the isolation period 24 hours after expiration.
24 hours to 8 days after expiration
The cluster enters isolated status. The cluster stops providing services; message reading and writing will be prohibited; the console and API calls cannot be used normally. Saved and unconsumed messages in the cluster are not retained.
During this period, you can manually renew the cluster. After renewal, the cluster will recover to its normal status. The renewal cycle starts from the expiration date of the previous cycle.
More than 8 days after expiration
If the cluster is not renewed within 8 days (including the 8th day) after expiration, the system will release the resources within 24 hours. Data in the cluster will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Note:
The above overdue isolation rules currently only apply to the Managed Edition clusters. The overdue isolation capability for the Serverless Edition clusters will be launched soon and will follow the same rules described above. Currently, the Serverless Edition clusters that are overdue or expired will remain available within 24 hours. After 24 hours, the clusters will be automatically deleted and cannot be recovered.

Overdue Payments for Postpaid by Hour Clusters

Alarms

After you specify the message recipients and delivery methods on the Message Subscription Management page, you will receive the following alarm information.

The system will deduct fees for postpaid by hour resources at each full hour. When your account balance becomes negative, we will notify the Tencent Cloud account creator, as well as global resource collaborators and financial collaborators, through email and SMS.
Overdue payment alarm
This feature is disabled by default. If you need to use this feature, see Balance Alarm Guide.

Handling Overdue Payments

From the moment your account balance becomes negative, the cluster remains usable and will continue to incur charges for 24 hours. After 24 hours, the cluster service will be stopped. You cannot send or receive messages normally. Access to the console and cloud APIs will be disabled, and resource usage fees will continue to be charged.
After the service is stopped, the system will process the cluster as follows:
Time After Service Stoppage
Description
≤ 7 days
If the account is topped up and the balance exceeds 0, the billing will resume, and the cluster will recover to its normal status.
If the account balance is not topped up to exceed 0, the cluster cannot be recovered.
> 7 days
If your account balance is not topped up to a positive balance, the cluster resources will be deleted, and all data will be deleted and cannot be recovered. When cluster resources are deleted, we will notify the root account of the Tencent Cloud account, as well as sub-accounts and collaborators who have subscribed to the messages through email and SMS.
