Five-Day Unconditional Full Refund
Refund Rules
TDMQ for RabbitMQ complies with the Instruction on Refunds for Cloud Services of Tencent Cloud. Each account entity is eligible for an unconditional full refund within five days (inclusive) of successful delivery of a newly purchased TDMQ for RabbitMQ cluster. The refund rules are as follows: Each account entity may request an unconditional full refund for only one prepaid yearly/monthly subscription cluster.
For orders eligible for a five-day unconditional full refund, the refund amount is the total amount consumed at the time of purchase, including funds from the cash account, revenue transfer account, and gift account. For the specific refund policies, see Five-Day Unconditional Full Refund. The refund amount is fully returned to your Tencent Cloud account balance. Coupons or promo vouchers are non-refundable.
Clusters whose billing mode has been switched from postpaid by hour to yearly/monthly subscription do not support a five-day unconditional return.
If the refund involves a cluster purchased as part of a promotional campaign, and the refund rule conflicts with the campaign policy, the campaign policy shall prevail.
Tencent Cloud reserves the right to reject refund requests in cases of suspected abnormal or malicious return activities.
Non-Full Refund
For prepaid cloud products that do not meet the five-day unconditional full refund rule, the refund rules are as follows:
If you have already utilized the five-day unconditional refund, other clusters can be returned through the self-service return process. For standard self-service returns, the refund will be issued to your Tencent Cloud account based on the proportion of cash and free credits used during the original purchase.
Refund amount = Payment amount – (Usage duration/Total duration) x Discount applied to the original order price
Usage duration less than one day is calculated as a full day. The applicable discount is determined based on the usage duration and the current system discount tier.
After a self-service return of a yearly/monthly subscription cluster, the cluster will be retained in an isolated status for 7 days. During the isolation period, message reading and writing will be prohibited, and console operations as well as cloud API calls will be restricted. Messages already stored in the cluster and unconsumed messages will not be retained. During this period, you can manually renew the cluster. After renewal, the cluster will recover to its normal status. After 7 days, the cluster will be deleted, and all configurations will be cleared and cannot be recovered.
If the refund involves a cluster purchased as part of a promotional campaign, and the refund rule conflicts with the campaign policy, the campaign policy shall prevail.
Tencent Cloud reserves the right to reject refund requests in cases of suspected abnormal or malicious return activities.
Non-Full Refund Examples
Note:
The following prices are for reference only and may not match those on our official website. Actual billing prices are subject to changes based on region, promotions, or other policies.
Background
A user purchases a RabbitMQ cluster with specifications of 2 cores and 8 GB in the Guangzhou region, using a USD 20 promo voucher for a one-month subscription with a 17% discount.
The discounted amount is: 228 x 0.83 = USD 189.24
The payment amount is: 189.24 – 20 = USD 169.24
Five-Day Unconditional Self-Service Refund
If the user is not satisfied within 5 days of purchase and requests a refund, this will be the first refund for the account.
Refund amount = Actual payment amount = USD 169.24
Non-Full Refund
After 10 days of purchase, with a total usage duration of 241 hours, and since this is not the first return for the account, the USD 20 promo voucher used during purchase is non-refundable.
Refund amount = Actual payment amount – Value of used resources = 169.24 - (241/720) x 169.24 = USD 112.5916
Downgrade Refund
Cluster downgrade follows the refund before repurchase principle. That is, Refund amount for the downgrade = Refund for resource return – Fee for purchasing new resources.
Promo vouchers and discounts used for purchasing products are non-refundable. Refunds for payments made via non-coupon methods (cash/free credits/cash vouchers) will be credited proportionally back to the payer's Tencent Cloud account using the original payment methods.
Note:
Fees for purchasing cash vouchers are non-refundable. For orders paid with cash vouchers, the equivalent voucher amount will be refunded proportionally to the payer's Tencent Cloud account based on the original payment.
Resource return refund: The refund amount is calculated based on the non-full refund rules.
Fee for purchasing new resources: This fee is calculated based on the prices of new resources and the discount (matching the current discount in the system).
Refund Methods
You can perform self-service operations to delete or return the cluster in the corresponding TDMQ for RabbitMQ console. The system will automatically initiate a refund and delete or return associated resources. For specific operations, see Deleting a Cluster.
