This document introduces how to log in to an instance. After logging in, you can perform automated data operations on the instance.

Prerequisites

The sub-account has the necessary access permissions for DMC-related feature pages. For details and operations, see DMC User Permission Settings. The root account has full permissions by default.
If the instance is not added to quick login and is not under control, you need to obtain the instance login account and password.
Note:
Methods to obtain the login password for Tencent Cloud VectorDB:
1.1 Log in to the Tencent Cloud VectorDB console.
1.2 Go to the instance list page of vector data, and click More > Manage in the Operation column of the target instance.
1.3 Select the Key Management tab, and in the API Key column corresponding to the login account, click Copy to copy the login password.
The MongoDB database only supports login with the mongouser account. Obtain the mongouser account password.
For other databases, obtain the DMC login account and password from the account creator.
If the instance requires quick login, add the instance to quick login first.
If the instance needs to be logged in via the Manage Instances page, enable management control for the instance first. This login method is only supported for MySQL database types.

Directions

1. Log in to the DMC console.
2. Log in to the instance using one of the following methods.
Method 1: The instance is not added to quick login (password login)
2.1.1 In the left sidebar, select Basic Development > SQL Window, select the database type, region, and instance, enter the account and password, and then click Log In.

2.1.2 After logging in successfully, select whether to automatically add the instance to quick login.

Add to quick log-in: Set a marker for the instance to facilitate categorization and management, and then click OK to view the instance information in the Quick Log-in list. For details on viewing and managing the quick login instance list, see Quick Login, and for instance marker, see Marker Management.
Do not add to quick login list: Close the window or click Skip to redirect to the SQL Window page.
Do not show this prompt next time: Select It will not be displayed for this instance again, click OK, and the page will redirect to the SQL Window page.
Method 2: If the instance is added to the quick login page and logged in from the quick login page (password-free login)
In the left sidebar, select Basic Development > Quick Log-In, and then on the Quick Log-In page, click Log In in the corresponding Operation column.

Method 3: If the instance is added to the quick login page and logged in from the SQL window page (password-free login)
2.3.1 In the left sidebar, select Basic Development > SQL Window, and then click

on the right side of Adding a Quick Login Instance.

It also supports clicking

on the right side of the instance switch card on the SQL window page.

2.3.2 In the pop-up dialog box, select the instance added to the quick login list, and then click OK.

Note:
If no instances are available for selection, click Quick Log-in Management to enter the Quick Log-in page to add a database. For detailed steps, see Quick Login.
If you need to log in to the instance using an account and password, click Open Log-in Window.
After the instance is successfully added, you can switch instances at the top of the page and perform relevant SQL operations.

Method 4: If the instance is added to the Managed Instances page (password-free login)
In the left sidebar, select Secure Release > Instance Control > Control Instances, and then on the Control Instances page, click Log In in the corresponding Operation column.

3. After logging in to the instance via SQL, you can perform relevant database and table operations.
