This document introduces how to manage the quick login instance list and how to log in to DMC without a password using the quick login method.
The main features of the quick login page include adding database instances, viewing the instance list, one-click login to the SQL window, modifying the username and password for database instance access, and viewing instance user permissions.

Prerequisites

An instance can be added multiple times on the quick login page using different database accounts, but each instance can only be added once using per database account.
After the same instance is enabled for management control, its status on the quick login page will be disabled, and only the delete operation is supported. For operations on adding instances to data sources and enabling management control, see Data Source Management.

Prerequisites

The sub-account has the necessary access permissions for DMC-related feature pages. For details and operations, see DMC User Permission Settings. The root account has full permissions by default.
The instance being logged in to is one of the supported databases by DMC.
The account and password for logging in to the database via DMC have been obtained.
Note:
The default account for Tencent Cloud VectorDB is root, and the login password can be directly obtained from the console. The retrieval method is as follows:
1.1 Log in to the Tencent Cloud VectorDB console.
1.2 Go to the instance list page of vector data, and click More > Manage in the Operation column of the target instance.
1.3 Select the Key Management tab, and in the API Key column corresponding to the login account, click Copy to copy the login password.
For other databases, obtain the DMC login account and password from the account creator.

Adding a Database Instance for Quick Log-in

1. Log in to the DMC console.
2. In the left sidebar, select Basic Development > Quick Log-in.
3. At the top of the page, click Add Database.

4. In the pop-up dialog box, enter the parameter information as prompted on the interface. Specific parameter descriptions are shown in the table below.

Only supports numbers, uppercase and lowercase English letters, Chinese characters, and special characters _ - . / ( ) [ ], with a length of less than 60.

The username for accessing the database instance.

The password corresponding to the username for accessing the database instance.

5. Click Test Connectivity.
If the connectivity test fails, check the configuration parameters, make necessary modifications, and test again.
6. After the test passes, click Add.
The instance list on the Quick Log-In page will display the added instances available for quick login.

Viewing the Quick Login Instance List

1. Log in to the DMC console.
2. In the left sidebar, select Basic Development > Quick Log-in.
3. (Optional) Filter the instances to view or configure the displayed fields in the list.
Filter instances: In the search box in the upper-right corner of the page, select the resource attribute, enter a keyword, and perform a search.
Set list display fields: In the upper-right corner of the page, click

, select the list fields to display, and click OK.
4. View the instance list. The specific field descriptions are shown in the table below.

Log-in ID/Name
Log-in ID: The instance login ID generated after it is added to quick login.
Log-in name: The custom instance login name set when quick login is added. Click

on the right side of the login name to modify the instance name.
Data Source ID
If the instance has been added to the data source list, the corresponding data source ID will be displayed.
For the operation of adding a data source, see Data Source Management.
Instance Type
Instance type.
Database Type
The database type of the instance, including MySQL, TDSQL-C, Tencent Cloud VectorDB, and MongoDB.
Database Account
The account used to access the database instance.
Instance Address
The private IP address and port number of the instance.
Creation Time
The time when the quick login was created.
Marker
The tag selected when the database is added.
Region
The region to which the instance belongs
Source Instance ID
The instance ID displayed in the purchased database instance list.
Status
The connectivity status of the database instance, including Normal, Disable, Exception, Deleting, Creating.
Operation
One-click login and enter the SQL window: Click Log in. For detailed instructions, see Log in to Instance.
Modify the username and password for database access: Click Edit. For detailed instructions, see Modify the Username and Password for Database Access Instance.
View account permissions: Click More > View Permissions.
Modify instance tag: Click More > Modify Markers, then click OK after making the changes.
Delete quick login: Click More > Delete, and then click Delete.
Note:
Instances that have been added to the data source do not support editing or modifying tags on the quick login page. To perform these operations, go to the Data Source page for modifications.

One-Click Login and Entering the SQL Window

After successfully adding a database instance on the Quick Log In page, you can log in to the database instance without a password in one click from the quick login list.
1. Log in to the DMC console.
2. In the left sidebar, select Basic Development > Quick Log-in.
3. In the quick login list, locate the instance to log in to, and click Log In in the Operation column of the corresponding instance.
You will be redirected to the SQL Window page, where you can perform SQL-related operations.

Modifying the Username and Password for Database Instance Access

When the username and password for accessing the database change, you can modify them on the quick login page. After modification, you can continue using quick login for the instance.
1. Log in to the DMC console.
2. In the left sidebar, select Basic Development > Quick Log-in.
3. In the quick login list, locate the instance to log in to, and click Edit in the Operation column of the corresponding instance.
4. In the pop-up dialog box, enter the username and password.
5. Click Test Connectivity.
6. After the test is successful, click OK.
