DMC user management offers two account roles: administrator and regular user. For ticket approval, it provides three roles: instance DBA, instance Owner, and administrator.

Administrator
The Tencent Cloud root account is assigned the administrator role by default and cannot be revoked.
Sub-accounts/collaborators can be set as administrators without any limitations on the number.
All features of the DMC console can be accessed.
Only users with the administrator role can access the features of the system management module.

Ordinary user
Sub-accounts/collaborators under the Tencent Cloud root account can all be added as regular users without any limitations on the number.
Only supports data query, change, or import/export operation permissions for database objects that have been applied for or authorized. The actual permissions depend on the applied or authorized scope.
Ticket approval role
Instance DBA
Both administrator and regular user roles can be set as the DBA. It is recommended to assign the administrator role as the instance DBA.
Each instance can have only one DBA.
Only the administrator role can modify the DBA.
Approve tickets (including SQL changes, data import, data export, and permission application types) based on the approval nodes defined in the approval specifications.
Each ticket approval role serves as an individual approval node. Only administrator roles are allowed to view and configure approval specifications. For details, see Configure Approval Specifications.
The same user can simultaneously serve as multiple ticket approval roles, such as instance DBA, instance Owner, or administrator.

Instance owner
Both administrator and regular user roles can be assigned as the Owner. It is recommended to assign the administrator role as the instance Owner.
Each instance can have only one instance Owner.
Only the administrator role can modify the instance Owner.
