Overview

Tencent Cloud TI Platform provides two ways to purchase computing power resources, "Selecting from CVM" and "Purchasing from TIONE Platform":
"Selecting from CVM" means adding pre-purchased CVM instances to the TIONE platform Resource Group. At this point, the computing cost has been paid when purchasing the CVM instances. The TIONE platform only charges software subscription fees.
Applicable Scenario: If you have purchased a CVM machine from Tencent Cloud, or have higher requirements for computing power specifications and stability, this mode is recommended. The added resource groups can be used for task-based modeling/development machines/online services and other functional modules.
Billing Mode: TIONE's software subscription fee includes two types of fees: "Monthly Subscription" and "Pay-as-you-go". When you purchase a CVM machine with monthly subscription, TIONE will charge the software subscription fee according to the monthly subscription. The same applies to Pay-as-you-go. (Note: Total cost = CVM machine's arithmetic cost + TIONE platform's software subscription fee.)
"Purchasing from TIONE platform" means to directly purchase computing power resources on the TIONE platform. In this case, the TIONE platform will simultaneously charge for computing power costs and software subscription fees.
Applicable Scenario: This mode is recommended if you do not have any purchased CVMs and have a low demand for computing power, or for short-term experience.
Billing mode: Only supports “Pay-as-you-go” mode. (Note: Total cost = TIONE platform's computing power cost + TIONE platform's software subscription fee.)

We will introduce the process of using the following two purchasing methods respectively.

Selecting from CVM Instances

Preparation: Go to the CVM Console to Purchase an Instance

Please refer to the Instance Creation Guide and go to the CVM console to purchase instances based on business needs. After purchase, you can add CVM instances as nodes to the TIONE platform.
Note:
When purchasing instances, choose a supported region of TIONE — including: Singapore.
For supported device types and software fees of TI-ONE, please refer to Billing Overview.

Adding CVM Instances to TIONE Platform

Note:
The TIONE platform will reinstall the system, install the AI development environment, and clear the data on the mounted data disk on the machines of the CVMs that are added to the resource group, so please back up the data before adding them. For details, please refer to Risk Alarm.
For specific operation steps, see Resource Group Management - Create Resource Group.

Using Purchased Computing Power

1. Return to TI-ONE Console, and go to Task-Based Modeling/Development Machines/Online Services in the left menu bar. (The following is an example of creating a development machine).
2. Click the Create button in the configuration page, select the machine source as “Select from CVMs”, and select the resource group as the name of the resource group you created in the previous step. Fill in the fields and submit the task to use the computing power of the purchased CVM machine.

Stop Billing Description

In "Resource Group Management > Details > Node List", click the Release button to release nodes in "running" or "exception" status (released CVM instances will no longer be used by the TIONE platform). Billing will stop simultaneously and remaining software subscription fees will be refunded.
Note:
Releasing at this point is not performing machine resource destruction, it means that the CVM machine is no longer in use for TIONE management.
Refund rules are as follows:
Refund initiated the day completing a full month (e.g., 2.5 months): Refund amount = Payment amount - Price for a full month (February) - Metered billing list price (0.5 months)
Refund initiated on a non-full month day (e.g., 0.5 month): Refund amount = Paid amount - Billed amount based on usage (for 0.5 month)
If less than one day, it will be counted as one day.
The payment amount refers to the total amount of a single order.
Metered billing is calculated by multiplying the list price by the number of days of use and converting it.
Deductible vouchers are not refundable. The refund amount will be fully refunded to your Tencent Cloud account.
Each account can return up to 200 nodes.

Purchasing from TIONE Platform

Buying Computing Power Upon Creation

1. Log in to the TI-ONE console go to the Task-Based Modeling/Development Machines/Online Services modules in the left menu bar. (The following is an example of creating a development machine).
2. Click the Create button. On the configuration page, select the machine source as "Purchased on TI-ONE", select the billing mode as "Pay-as-you-go", and select the corresponding resource specification in the computing power specification according to the actual business need. After completing the filling, submit the task to obtain the Pay-as-you-go computing power resource purchased from the TIONE platform.
After selecting the computing power specification, the corresponding configuration price will be displayed at the bottom of the page. For prices of different specifications, see Billing Overview.

Stop Billing Description

The computing power resources purchased from the TIONE platform will stop being charged in the following situations, including:
1. Task operation completed or automatically stopped — When task-based modeling and other tasks are completed, or when a development machine/online service triggers the automatic stop time, the platform will automatically release computing power resources and stop billing.
2. Manually stop a running task — In function modules such as task-based modeling, development machine, and online service, manually click the Stop button, and the platform will automatically release computing power resources and stop billing.
