Feature Overview
Used to build the account system for Cloud Virtual Desktop (CVD) end users. The user management feature is provided by Tencent Cloud IDaaS, offering you services such as rapid account synchronization, multi-source authentication management, and secure login settings.
Viewing the Department and User Structure
On the User Management page, you can view your department structure and information related to CVD usage by personnel within the departments. This includes username, full name, mobile number, email, account status, and the usage policy applied to their CVD operations. The user management feature is provided by Tencent Cloud IDaaS. Note:
The user list does not display users with a status of Departed or users whose role is administrator.
Creating a User
2. On the Manage Users page, click Manage Users in the upper-right corner of the list, and you will be redirected to the Tencent Cloud IDaaS console. The user creation service is provided by Tencent Cloud IDaaS.
3. Click Create User and specify the following information in the form.

Name | Yes | The name is the real name of the CVD user. |
Username | Yes | The username is the login account for the CVD user. |
Primary Email | Yes | It is used by the CVD user to receive the activation email. Ensure that the email address is correct. |
Secondary Email | No | Another email address of the end user. |
Mobile Number | No | It is used by the CVD user to receive Short Message Service (SMS) messages. |
Department | Yes | The parent department of the CVD user for management purposes. |
Part-time Department | No | The part-time department of the CVD user. |
Primary User Group | No | Specify it according to the actual situation. |
Supervisor | No | Specify it according to the actual situation. |
Employee ID | No | Specify it according to the actual situation. |
Sort Value | No | It controls the display order of users. Set the sort value according to the actual situation. |
Activation Method | No | You can choose to activate later or send the link to the user's primary email. The default option is to send the link to the user's primary email. |
4. Confirm the information and click OK and Next to continue creating users. Repeat the steps until completion, and then click OK.
5. Go back to the CVD console and refresh the page to view the created users.
Creating a Department
2. On the Manage Users page, click Manage Users in the upper-right corner of the list. You are redirected to the Tencent Cloud IDaaS console. The user creation service is provided by Tencent Cloud IDaaS.
3. Click Create Department, enter the department name and its parent department information, and select the department head.
4. Confirm the information and click OK and Next to continue creating departments. Repeat the steps until completion, and then click OK.
5. Return to the CVD console and refresh the page to view the created departments.
Note on Data Cleanup in CVD User Management
The CVD product periodically performs data cleanup within the User Management module. This cleanup only applies to customers who have not used the CVD product for 180 consecutive days or more. The cleanup includes configuration information such as users, departments, and authentication sources created within User Management in the CVD console. This will not affect other Tencent Cloud services you use. If you have any questions, you can submit a ticket for consultation and confirmation.
