Creating a Custom Policy

1. Log in to the Cloud Virtual Desktop (CVD) console and go to the Policy Management page. Click Create Custom Policy.

2. Configure the following information as prompted on the page:

Configuration Item
Description
Policy Name
Used to distinguish between CVD usage policies.
Policy Description
Optional. You can use a description to help you further differentiate the policy.
File Redirection
Set the operation permissions for CVD to access local files on the terminal.
In client access mode, disks on the local terminal are mapped to the CVD instance.

In browser access mode, files are transferred between the local terminal and the CVD instance through upload and download operations.

Read and write: allows reading and modifying files within the mapped disk, allows adding and deleting files in the mapped disk, and allows upload and download operations in browser access mode.
Read-only: allows reading files within the mapped disk and allows upload operations in browser access mode.
Disabled: disables disk mapping and prohibits upload and download operations.
Clipboard Redirection
Set the permissions for one-way or two-way replication between the CVD instance and the local terminal.
The clipboard can be used to copy text, files, images, and other content. Clipboard capabilities vary across different access methods. For example, when CVD is accessed via a Windows client, file copying is supported, whereas file copying is unavailable in browser access mode.
Enable from CVD to client: allows one-way replication of content from the CVD instance to the local terminal.
Enable from client to CVD: allows one-way replication of content from the local terminal to the CVD instance.
Enable bidirectional mode: allows two-way replication of content between the local terminal and the CVD instance.
Disabled: disables the ability to copy via the clipboard.
Peripheral Redirection
Configure whether to enable the peripheral redirection feature. After this feature is enabled, USB storage devices and COM port peripherals connected to the local terminal can be used on the CVD instance.
Watermark Settings
Specify the watermark display settings for this policy. You can configure the watermark content and display method.
Applied User
When creating a custom policy, you can specify the target users for this policy. The policy will apply to all CVD instances owned by the specified users.
3. Confirm that the information is correct and click Save. The policy will take effect the next time end users log in.

1. Log in to the CVD console and go to the Policy Management page. Select the policy that you want to delete, and click Delete Policy in the upper-right corner or in the operation column.

2. Reconfirm the operation in the prompt to delete the policy.
