What Is a Local Gateway?

The CDC local gateway is an instance used for configuring local routes in Tencent Cloud (CDC), facilitating communication between CDC and the local network. When a dedicated cluster enters the Running state, a local gateway instance is automatically created. Users can configure the local gateway to enable data transmission between CDC and the local network.

The Local Gateway of the CDC Environment Has the Following Features

The creation entry is the CDC independent entry and must be created in the CDC console. For details, see Creating a Local Gateway.
Billing policy: The CDC infrastructure includes the local gateway module, which provides basic network interconnectivity, and supports paid scaling out to larger clusters to deliver higher interconnect bandwidth.
Resources in CDC interconnect with the customer's on-premises IDC through the local gateway capability. Elastic EIPs bound to private IP addresses can be bound to CVMs, enabling the CVMs to interconnect with the customer's private network. The routing for interconnection with the IDC's private network is determined by the policy during the delivery and grid-connection phase.
