IDC channels are network link segmentations connecting local data centers. Each IDC channel represents a local data center. Different IDC channels can be created with virtual connections to achieve interconnection between local data centers and VPCs.
An IDC channel can only be associated with a virtual connection.

The IDC channel feature requires the allowlist to be enabled to use the console management page. If you need to use it, please contact online support for assistance.
1. Log in to the CDC console, in the left sidebar, click IDC channel to go to the IDC channel management page.
2. In the IDC channel management page, click Create New.
3. In the pop-up New IDC Channel window, configure the following information:
3.1 The local data center edge and Tencent Cloud can interconnect via VRRP VIP or Layer 3 sub-interfaces.
Field
Meaning
Associate Virtual Connection
Select the virtual connection information to be associated with the IDC channel.
Name
Customize the name information to identify the corresponding IDC channel.
Connection Method
According to the design of the interconnection solution with the user's local data center, select the corresponding connection method:
VRRP: The user's local data center edge and Tencent Cloud CDC edge are interconnected using the VRRP method.
Layer 3 Sub-interface: The user's local data center edge and Tencent Cloud CDC edge are interconnected using the Layer 3 sub-interface method.
VLAN ID
VLAN ID for the interconnection between Tencent Cloud CDC and the user's local data center.
VRRP ID
The VRRP ID of the Tencent Cloud CDC egress device must be different from the VRRP ID of the user's local data center.
Intermediate IP
Address information for the interconnection between Tencent Cloud CDC and the user's local data center.
Tencent Cloud IP1
Tencent Cloud CDC edge device IP1.
Tencent Cloud IP2
Tencent Cloud CDC edge device IP2.
Boundary VRRP IP Address of Tencent Cloud
Tencent Cloud CDC edge device VRRP virtual IP.
Boundary VRRP IP Address of User
User's local data center edge VRRP virtual IP address.
Routing mode
Select the method for exchanging routing information between Tencent Cloud CDC and the user's local data center:
BGP: The Tencent Cloud CDC edge propagates routing information to the user's local data center via the BGP protocol.
Static Routing: The Tencent Cloud CDC edge propagates routing information to the user's local data center via static routing method.
Checking Internal of healthy nodes
If BGP mode is selected for route exchange, BFD detection is enabled by default, and you need to configure relevant detection parameters:
Health Check Interval: The interval between two consecutive health checks performed by Tencent Cloud CDC via the BFD protocol.
unhealthy threshold
If BGP mode is selected for route exchange, BFD detection is enabled by default, and you need to configure relevant detection parameters:
Health Check Count: If the health check fails consecutively for the set number of times, a route switchover is performed.
BGP ASN
Enter the AS number of the BGP neighbor in the user's local data center.
BGP Key
If key authentication is required, you can enter the BGP neighbor authentication key.
3.2 After filling in the interconnection information according to the actual interconnection scenario, click Next: Configure IDC Equipment.
Note:
Creating a new IDC channel only completes the delivery of Tencent Cloud CDC boundary configuration. After your information is submitted, Tencent Cloud Ops personnel will contact you to complete the configuration of the local data center boundary equipment and finalize the solution handover.
4. Click Complete to complete the delivery of the IDC channel configuration.
Note:
Completing the new IDC channel console configuration only deploys the Tencent Cloud CDC boundary configuration. You need to complete the local data center boundary configuration according to the planned solution.
