Introduction

Hyper Computing Cluster (Tencent Hyper Computing Cluster) takes high-performance CVMs as nodes and interconnects with RDMA (Remote Direct Memory Access), providing high bandwidth and ultra-low latency network services, significantly improving network performance, and meeting the parallel computing requirements of large-scale high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, big data recommendation, and other applications.

Basic Concepts

Before using Hyper Computing Cluster, you need to understand the following concepts:
Concept
Description
Computing resources on the public cloud, including basic computing resources such as CPU, memory, operating system, network, and disk.
Configurations of CPU, memory, storage, and network for high-performance CVM instances provided by Tencent Cloud.
Images of high-performance CVM instances, including preset images on Windows, Linux, and other systems.
A device on the physical server that can be used for persistent storage by an instance.
A distributed and persistent block storage device that can serve as the system disk or an expandable data disk of an instance.
A logically isolated virtual network space on Tencent Cloud.
IP address
Tencent Cloud provides private IP addresses and public IP addresses. Simply put, private IP addresses provide local area network (LAN) services for communication between high-performance CVMs. Public IP addresses are used when users access Internet services from high-performance CVM instances.
Static public IP addresses designed especially for dynamic networks to meet the demands for fast troubleshooting.
A security group is a virtual firewall that supports stateful inspection and packet filtering. It controls network access for one or more high-performance CVMs, serving as a critical network security isolation measure.
Login method
High-security SSH keys and connection passwords can be used for login.
The location of instances and other resources. High-performance CVM instances in the same region but different AZs within the same VPC can communicate with each other using private IP addresses.

Using Hyper Computing Cluster

Tencent Cloud allows you to configure and manage Hyper Computing Cluster instances in the following ways:
Console: You can use the web-based console of CVM to configure and manage Hyper Computing Cluster instances.
API: Tencent Cloud also provides APIs to conveniently manage Hyper Computing Cluster instances. For API details, see API Overview.
SDK: You can use SDK or Tencent Cloud's TCCLI to call APIs.

Hyper Computing Cluster is one of the CVM instance families, and the user experience is consistent with that of CVM. See CVM Strengths.
Note:
If you have not used Hyper Computing Cluster, see Getting Started to get started.
