Package Operation

Purchase

New users enjoy a one-month free environment trial period. The environment quota during the trial is the same as the personal edition. You can choose whether to pay-as-you-go for additional usage beyond the quota.

Quota change

When the package adjustment conditions are met, package adjustments requiring an additional payment are called upgrades, and package adjustments requiring a refund are called downgrades.

Upgrade

Upgrade fee = Monthly upgrade price difference × Number of days for an upgrade/(365/12) × Applicable discount.
Monthly upgrade price difference: The difference between the prices of the original specification and the new specification on a monthly basis.
The upgrade fee is calculated by day: Number of days for an upgrade = Resource expiration time - Current time.
Applicable discount: An available and applicable discount is matched based on the rounded-down number of days for an upgrade.
Note:
The upgrade doesn't affect the resource expiration time.
The upgrade fee can be paid with your promo vouchers and platform-gifted balance (free credit).
The quota validity period of the new package is the same as the remaining quota validity period of the original package. During an upgrade, you cannot select a duration. You can only select a duration when renewing a package.
For example, if a user purchases the personal edition with a validity time from July 1, 2022 to October 1, 2022, and upgrades to the standard version on August 23, 2022, the valid duration of the standard version will be from August 23, 2022 to October 1, 2022, and the duration cannot be selected.

Downgrade

Downgrade fee = Resource refund - Fee for purchasing new resources.
Note:
To downgrade a package, the resource usage of the original package cannot exceed the resource quota of the new package.
Fee for purchasing new resources: This fee is calculated based on the prices of new resources and the applicable discount.
Resource refund: The refund amount is calculated according to the partial refund rules. Refund amount = Current effective order amount + Unstarted order amount - Consumed resource amount.
The current effective order amount and the unstarted order amount are paid in cash.
Consumed resource amount = (Usage duration/Total duration) × Order amount.
If the refund amount is greater than 0, the configuration will be downgraded, and the refund will be returned to your Tencent Cloud account via the original payment method.
If the refund amount is less than or equal to 0, the package can be downgraded, but no refund will be returned.
If a discount or voucher is used during purchase, it will not be returned.

Renew

When a purchased package expires, you can renew it to extend its validity period.

Stop Using Resources and Applying for a Refund

You cannot stop using only some features (such as SCF) in an environment. Instead, you can only terminate the entire environment.
When you terminate an environment, the system refunds the package fee based on the proportion of the remaining validity period to the current validity period. Fees charged in pay-as-you-go mode will not be refunded.

Billing FAQ

Can Earlier Version of WeDa Account-Level Package Version Continue to Be Used?

The WeDa package has been integrated into the new Cloud Development package. The earlier version of the WeDa account-level package can still be used, but the new Cloud Development package supports more capabilities. We recommend upgrading to the new Cloud Development package. After upgrade, you can terminate the old WeDa package and request a refund.

How to Check the Current Package Version

You may check the current package version on the Cloud Development Platform > plan usage page.

Current Package Resources Insufficient to Support Online Services

You can enable pay-as-you-go, purchase a package upgrade, and go to the Cloud Development Platform > plan usage page to proceed.
