This article summarizes all chargeable items when TDSQL Boundless is used, including instance fees and value-added services (such as backup storage and Database Audit). The TDSQL Boundless database adopts a peer-to-peer architecture (HyperNode) design. Each instance contains peer nodes and management nodes by default, and can enable CDC nodes and columnar read-only analytical nodes on demand. Node fees consist of two parts: node specification fees (that is, memory and CPU fees) and fees for node storage space.

An instance contains multiple peer nodes and management nodes by default, and CDC nodes and columnar read-only analytical nodes can be enabled on demand.
Node memory and CPU resources refer to node specifications. The fees for node memory and CPU depend on the region, node specifications, usage duration, and the number of instance nodes.
Note:
The memory and CPU resources used by CDC nodes (Binlog subscription nodes) and columnar read-only analytical nodes are temporarily free.

Amount of storage space
The storage space occupied by instance nodes refers to the space used by data files, index files, log files (redo log, undo log, slow log, error log, and so on), temporary files, and other related files. Occupied storage space will incur fees.
The cost of storage space depends on the data volume, quantity of fully functional replicas, storage medium type, storage duration, and the number of instance nodes.
Note:
The storage space used by CDC nodes (Binlog subscription nodes) and columnar read-only analytical nodes is temporarily free.

Storage space for backups
Backup files occupy a certain amount of storage space. Backup methods include automatic and manual backups, and backup objects include log backups and data backups. The space occupied by all these will be included in this billing item.
The cost of backup files depends on the storage capacity and retention period.

Yearly/Monthly Subscription
Prepaid mode, that is, pay the fee when a new instance is created.
Suitable for long-term needs with relatively stable traffic volume. The fee is lower compared to pay-as-you-go mode, and the longer the purchase period, the more discounts you get.

Pay-as-You-Go
Postpaid mode, that is, apply for resources on demand first, and you will be charged based on your actual resource usage during settlement.
It is suitable for business scenarios with large instantaneous fluctuations in business volume. The instance can be released immediately after use to save costs.
