A cluster is a resource dimension in MQTT. Topics, clients, etc. in different clusters are completely isolated from each other. Each cluster has its own resource limits, such as the number of topics, number of connections, and subscriptions. Common usage methods include using a dedicated cluster for the development and testing environment and another dedicated cluster for the production environment.

Creating Cluster

1. Log in to the MQTT console.
2. Select Resource > Cluster in the left sidebar. After selecting a region, Create Cluster to go to the cluster purchase page.

Description
Billing Mode
Currently, both annual and monthly subscription and pay as you go modes are supported.
Region
Select the region closest to your business. The private networks of cloud products in different regions are not interconnected, and the region cannot be changed after purchase. Please select carefully. For example, a Cloud Virtual Machine (CVM) in the Guangzhou region cannot access a cluster in the Shanghai region through the private network. For cross-region private network communication, please refer to the Cloud Connect Network (CCN) operation instruction.
Cluster Specification
Currently available are Pro Edition and Platinum Version. Differences between versions can be seen in Product Series.
TPS Specification
This includes the sum of production and consumption messages, which are converted according to settings for each individual message. For detailed rules, see Purchase Instruction.
Number of Client Connections
The basic version supports up to 2000 client connections and does not support buying extra connections. The pro edition gives different numbers of complimentary connections based on TPS specifications, and you can purchase additional connections separately.
VPC
Authorize binding the access point domain name of the newly purchased cluster to Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).
Public Network Access
Enabling public network bandwidth will incur an extra fee. You can disable it on the Cluster Management page after activation. For price details, see Public Network Billing Description.
Cluster name
Enter cluster name, length 3-64 characters, only comprised of digits, letters, "-", and "_".
Tag
Tags are used to categorize and manage resources from different dimensions.
3. Select the configuration and click Buy Now, wait for 3–5 minutes, and then you can see the completed cluster in the console.
