You can reduce the cost of backup storage by deleting database backups. This document describes how to delete manual backup files via the console.
Backup Types That Support Manual Deletion
Note:
Once a manual backup is deleted, it cannot be recovered or used to roll back data. Proceed with caution.
Manual backup files can be deleted during data backup. Automatic backup files cannot be deleted and will be automatically removed upon expiration.
Log backups do not support deletion.
Operation Steps
2. Select a region above, find the instance that requires deletion of manual backup files, click the instance ID or Operation column's Manage to go to the instance management page.
3. On the instance management page, choose Backup Management > Data Backup, find the target backup file, in its Operation column choose More > Delete.
4. In the pop-up dialog box, click OK.
Note:
Batch deletion of manual backup files is supported. After selecting multiple manual backup files to delete, click Delete at the top, then click OK in the pop-up window.
