Task Flow Configuration

A task flow may include multiple templates. It allows you to perform different tasks, including transcoding, watermarking, screencapturing, and moderation, on a file at the same time.
Log in to the VOD console. Select Media Processing > Task Flow Settings on the left sidebar. The page shows the information of task flows you created, including the task flow name, type, creation time, last modification time, and available operations.
Task Flow Name: The name you entered when creating the task flow.
Task Flow Type: Preset or custom.
Creation Time: The time when the task flow was created.
Last Modification Time: The time when the task flow was last modified.
Operation: Includes details of the tasks added to the task flow.
Preset Task Flows
VOD provides five preset task flows, whose tasks include adaptive bitrate streaming, screencapturing (image sprite), and thumbnail generation.

Custom Task Flows
1. Log in to the VOD console. On the Task Flow Settings page, click Create Task Flow, and complete the following settings:
Task Flow Name: Enter a name not longer than 20 characters. It can contain Chinese characters, letters, numbers, hyphens (-), and underscores (_).
Configuration Item: You can select tasks including general transcoding, TSC transcoding, adaptive bitrate streaming, screencapturing, thumbnail generation, animated image generation, and content moderation. You must select at least one item. For more information, see Task configuration.
2. After configuring the tasks, click Submit, and the task flow is created successfully.

For time point screenshot templates, you need to specify the time points to take screenshots. If existing templates don't meet your needs, you can create one in Template Settings. Watermark templates: You can configure a watermark for each time point or sampled screenshot template. If existing watermark templates don't meet your needs, you can create one in Template Settings. |
Thumbnail generation | Screenshot templates: Preset supported Custom supported | Screenshot templates: Only time point screenshot templates are supported. You can specify the time point either as an offset or a percentage. If existing templates don't meet your needs, you can create one in Template Settings. Note:
You can only add existing templates to a workflow.
