Launch configurations are not be modified after being created. But you can change the launch configuration of a scaling group.

1. Create a new launch configuration. See Creating a Launch Configuration.
2. Go to the Scaling Groups page, select the target scaling group, and open the details page.
3. In the Basic Info section, select the new launch configuration.
   
4. Click Save to complete.
