Overview
You can modify the storage class of your object uploaded to COS through the console at any time to meet your business needs in different scenarios. COS offers a range of storage classes, including MAZ_STANDARD / STANDARD, MAZ_STANDARD_IA / STANDARD_IA, MAZ_INTELLIGENT TIERING / INTELLIGENT TIERING, ARCHIVE / ARCHIVE, and DEEP ARCHIVE. For more information, see Overview. The following section will guide you through how to modify the storage class of an object. Note:
If your objects are in Multi-AZ storage types such as MAZ_STANDARD or MAZ_STANDARD_IA, changing the storage type to non-Multi-AZ types (such as STANDARD_IA or ARCHIVE) is not currently supported.
If an object belongs to archive type (such as ARCHIVE or DEEP_ARCHIVE), it is required to restore to standard type (such as STANDARD) before changing to other storage types. For more information, see Restoring Archived Objects. Modifying the storage class of objects larger than 5 GB is not supported.
