When the status of a consumption group is Empty (no members) and lasts for more than 7 days, the system will automatically delete the group. To enhance resource management flexibility, CKafka supports custom configuration at the instance level in the console, allowing users to autonomously set the auto cleanup duration for empty consumption groups based on business needs and compliance requirements.
Restrictions and Limitations
This feature is currently controlled by an allowlist. If necessary, submit a ticket to apply. The auto deletion time for empty consumption groups defaults to 7 days. If set to a longer duration (such as 8 days), the deletion time will be extended. If set to a shorter duration (such as 5 days), expired empty consumption groups may be deleted immediately. Proceed with caution.
Only instances with version 2.4.1 and 2.8.1 support configuring auto cleanup duration for empty consumption groups.
Operation Steps
2. Select Instance List in the left sidebar, click the ID of the target instance after selecting a region, and go to the instance basic information page.
3. In the Consumption Group Settings module, click Configure in the upper right corner, enable auto-create Consumer Group, and set the deletion time.
Auto-deletion time for Consumer Group: Default is 7 days, time range is 1-7 days.
