After enabling instance termination protection, the instance will no longer be accessible via console or API. If needed, you must manually disable termination protection before destroying the instance. It is advisable to keep this protection enabled for key business operations long-term.

Restrictions and Limitations

Instance termination protection does not take effect at the system level. For example, hourly billed instances may be released due to overdue payment, and annual and monthly subscription instances may be released after isolation upon expiration.

Enabling Instance Termination Protection

There are three entry points to enable instance termination protection:
Portal 1: Log in to the CKafka console, click Create in the instance list, and enable instance destruction protection on the purchasing page.

Portal 2: Log in to the CKafka console, click More in the instance list target instance operation column, then select Set Instance Destruction Protection and enable instance destruction protection.

Entry 3: Sign in to the CKafka console, click the ID/Name of the target instance in the instance list, go to the instance basic information page, and enable termination protection in the instance destruction protection section under the basic info module.

Disabling Instance Termination Protection
