This document guides you through the instance management module in the Web Application Firewall (WAF) asset center, where you can view instance details, purchase new instances, and renew or manage packages and scale-out packages of the instance.

Creating and Viewing Instances

1. Log in to the WAF console, select Connection Management > Instance Management in the left navigation bar
2. On the instance management page, display all purchased instance overviews, click Create Instance, go to the purchase page, and purchase on demand. For more purchase details, please refer to Purchase Guide.

3. If the instance is associated with an Anti-DDOS EIP, the DDOS protection status will display as Anti-DDOS EIP bound under the instance type.
Hover the mouse here to view the Anti-DDOS EIP address. Click to view details and navigate to the EIP console.
After binding an Anti-DDoS EIP, the bandwidth is sustained by the EIP. Specification limits are not displayed. Business bandwidth on the VIP is counted normally in the backend, and the bandwidth range takes effect. Support disassociation on the EIP console. After disassociation, bandwidth is displayed automatically.

4. On the instance management page, click "Instance ID" and the instance detail page pops up on the right.

5. On the instance detail page (the following introduction is based on a SaaS instance as an example), you can view the basic information, plan information, extensions, add-ons, value-added capability, and attack log shipping info of the instance.
In the Basic Info module, click

to enable/disable plan renewal and elastic protection.
The extensions module supports redirection to purchase domain extension packages, capacity expansion packages.
The Add-ons capability module supports enabling/disabling BOT management and API security.
The attack log delivery shipping module supports one-click enabling/disabling of attack log shipping.


Search Existing Instance

If you purchase multiple instances and need to retrieve or search, you can use this feature. Existing instances support retrieval by region and data type, as well as keyword search.
1. Log in to the WAF console, select Connection Management > Instance Management in the left navigation bar, and go to the instance management page.
2. On the instance management page, you can filter existing instances by type and region, or search for existing instances by keyword in the search bar using "Instance ID, instance name, and billing mode".
Click in the upper left corner type dropdown box, filter existing instances by WAF type.

Click in the upper left corner of the region dropdown box to filter existing instances by region.

Click the search box to query existing instances by keyword such as "Instance ID, instance name, billing mode and tag".


Managing Instance Domains

You can configure domains of instance by following way.
1. On the instance management page, click Associated domains to go to the domain list page.

2. On the domain list page, you can create, edit, and delete domain names. For details, see Domain Name List.

Network Configuration

1. For instances with DDoS protection, users can configure network.

2. Click Network Configuration, a pop-up window appears where you can enable/disable native VIP instance. It is recommended to disable them.


Purchase Instance Renewal and Expansion Package

After searching for the required instance and viewing it, you can check the expiry time of your purchased product package and the remaining usage of the expansion package on the instance management page dashboard.

1. If your package is about to expire and needs renewal, click Renew. On the WAF package renewal webpage, select a renewal duration and click Renew Now to renew your current package.

2. If the dashboard displays that the domain pack or QPS specification is about to reach its limit, click More, select Extra domain package, Extra capacity package, BOT, or API Security, and you can proceed with purchasing related services.
Note: If the current instance or domain name package has expired, renew first, then repurchase.
Purchase extra domain package: Select purchase quantity (1-500), click Buy Now to purchase the extra domain package.

Purchase extra capacity package: Select purchase quantity (1-500), click Buy Now to purchase the extra capacity package.

BOT: Choose whether to enable BOT management as needed, click Buy Now to purchase the BOT management service.

API Security: Choose whether to activate API security and purchase extra capacity package as needed, click Buy Now to purchase related services.
