Verify the version compatibility between the source and target databases.
Check content
Check the version numbers of the source and target databases to ensure no version downgrade occurs. For example, the source database version is 2014 Enterprise, and the target database version is 2012 Enterprise.
Potential issue
Data synchronization to a database of an earlier version is not supported.

Fixing Method

Ensure that the target database version is not earlier than the source database version.
It is recommended to upgrade the target database to the same version or a version later than that of the source database. You can upgrade the database version of the target instance using the feature of adjusting the instance version in the console.
