Scenarios
If you installed a Tesla or GRID driver version that does not match your business requirements, or if the GPU instance cannot run properly due to an incorrect driver type or version, you can upgrade the Tesla or GRID driver by uninstalling the current driver and installing the correct version.
Note:
NVIDIA GPU instance types include GPU passthrough instances (full GPU / physical GPU) and vGPU instances (fractional GPU, for example 1/4 GPU). Only passthrough (physical) GPUs can use the Tesla driver.
Procedure
1. Uninstall the current GPU driver.
Note:
Make sure the previously installed driver has been fully uninstalled before upgrading. Otherwise, the new driver may not work properly.
2. Install the new Tesla driver.
