Product Introduction

Video DNA typically refers to the feature vector of videos. You can use the Video DNA service to extract and compare fingerprint features such as images and audio in videos, addressing issues like duplicate video detection and video segment source tracing. It is applicable to business scenarios including original content identification, video deduplication, ad revenue sharing, and video source tracing.
Note:
Video DNA is a paid feature, and its billing standard is consistent with that of video tags. That is, storing a 5-minute video in the Video DNA library or querying a 5-minute video will incur usage equivalent to that of a 5-minute video tag. For details, please refer to the Media Processing fees document.
Before using the Video DNA feature, you need to apply in advance to establish a Video DNA library. Please submit a ticket to apply.
When using the Video DNA service, please first confirm the relevant limitations and Region. For details, refer to Usage Limitations.

Applicable Scenarios

Media Asset Management

Deduplicating videos in the media asset library improves user storage and media management efficiency, saving storage space and bandwidth usage.

Homepage Recommendations

Deduplicating videos in the homepage recommendation library of video platforms significantly reduces the likelihood of users encountering repeated content, effectively enhancing their viewing experience.

Original Content Recognition

Identify whether a video is original, edited, or user-generated content (UGC). Resolve copyright issues in the short video domain and prevent infringing videos from harming the interests of creators and video platforms.

Prerequisites

You have activated the COS service, created a Bucket, and uploaded files to the Bucket. For specific operations, see Bucket Files.
You have activated the Cloud Infinite service and bound a Bucket. For specific operations, see Bucket Binding.

Usage

Task

For existing data stored on COS (Cloud Object Storage, COS), you can achieve video file deduplication by creating a Video DNA task.
Via API: You can use the API to create a Video DNA task. For usage details, see Submit Video DNA Task.
