Verify user identities via secure face recognition service

Tencent Cloud FaceID offers a rich set of authentication features like liveness detection and 1:1 face comparison, meeting the needs of the insurance and finance sectors for identity verification.

Leading Algorithms

Provide industry-leading face recognition algorithms that have broken records in multiple international competitions, most notably a world record of 99.80% on LFW in 2017.

Security and Reliability

Guard against spoofed images, videos, and static 3D models with liveness detection, which leverages Tencent's years of security practices and big data capabilities.

Comprehensive Functionality

Offer additional statistics and billing data collection services to help you respond to verification problems promptly.

Liveness Detection

Meet the high security requirements of facial recognition in various verification scenarios, and guard against spoofed images, videos, and static 3D models. It can detect lip movement, motion, and silent liveness.

1:1 Face Comparison

Confirm user identities by comparing their live image with a reference image. In addition to Tencent’s large-scale face datasets, this feature also utilizes high-dimensional LBP, PCA, LDA and Bayesian networks, metric learning, transfer learning, and deep learning. It can recognize faces regardless of age, posture, or lighting conditions.

Typical scenarios: Bank account opening, insurance verification, etc.

ID card recognition can be used in industries such as banking and securities where customer identity must be verified for remote account opening and money transfer. It helps banks reduce labor costs and improve customer experience. In the case where commercial insurance companies are unable to confirm the identity of the insured as he or she cannot be present due to illness, age, or other factors, FaceID offers remote face verification services to help prevent insurance fraud and other risks.

Typical scenarios: Internet access in internet cafés, hotel check-in, etc.

Identity registration is required in places such as internet cafés under Chinese laws and regulations. In this case, the receptionist can use Tencent Cloud FaceID services to verify and register the customer's identity before granting internet access.

Typical scenarios: SIM card registration, activation, etc.

Carriers can use FaceID to provide remote identity verification to customers registering for online services. The customers can self-serve online once verified.
