Is Tencent Cloud Filing Required for Using a Custom Domain Name?

Determine based on your situation.
If you use a domestic CDN for your domain name, you must register it. However, registration through Tencent Cloud is not mandatory. You only need to ensure that the domain name you use is registered.
If you use an overseas CDN for your domain name, you do not need to register it.

Does COS Support HTTPS for Custom Domain Names?

Yes. You can configure SSL Certificates for your custom domain to enable HTTPS access. For details, see the Configure Custom Domain for HTTPS Access document.

How to Obtain a Custom Domain Name Access Link After a File is Uploaded to COS

COS does not currently support returning custom domain access links after file uploads. You can achieve this by concatenating the domain name, simply replacing the default domain with your custom domain.

Is CDN Required for Accessing COS with a Custom Domain Name?

You can access COS using a custom domain without enabling CDN. Log in to the COS console to configure a custom origin domain. For detailed operations, see the Enable Custom Origin Domain document.

Why Does the Original Custom Domain Name Disappear in the COS Console After the Origin Is Changed in the CDN Console?

If you use the V5 edition console with JSON version domain configuration, the COS V5 console cannot display new domains.Check whether a JSON domain is configured in your bucket, and modify the JSON version domain configuration to an XML domain.

Do I Need to Delete the Lightweight Server Resolution Before Binding a Custom Domain Name to a COS Bucket?

A domain name can only have one CNAME record configured. Therefore, you must first delete the resolution relationship for the lightweight server, and then bind the domain name resolution relationship to the COS bucket.

How to Handle Domain Name Resolution or CNAME Not Taking Effect

Domain name resolution or CNAME configuration may take several minutes to take effect. You can wait for a while and then try to access your bucket using the custom origin domain. If it still does not take effect, you can log in to your DNS console to check whether the resolution relationship is correctly configured.

How to Configure a Custom Domain Name for COS

If you need to configure a custom domain for your COS, you can refer to the following two scenarios.
1. If you do not require acceleration, see Enable Custom Origin Domain to bind your domain to a COS bucket and access files in the bucket using the custom domain.
2. If you require CDN acceleration, see Enable Custom CDN Acceleration Domain. Before configuration, ensure that the domain name you entered is registered and that the corresponding CNAME is configured with your DNS provider. For details, see CNAME Configuration.

Note:
Accessing COS using a custom origin domain incurs the same charges as using the default COS domain.
Accessing COS using a custom CDN domain incurs CDN origin traffic fees and CDN downstream traffic fees, while the public network downstream traffic fee for COS is reduced.
