Does the shared data package deduct the outbound traffic or the inbound traffic?

The shared data package typically deducts from the outbound traffic. Outbound traffic refers to the data that is sent from your server to the internet or to other servers. Inbound traffic, on the other hand, is the data that is received by your server from the internet or other servers.

For example, if you have a website hosted on a server and visitors access your site, the data transferred from your server to the visitors' devices is considered outbound traffic. If your server fetches data from an external API or database, that's also outbound traffic. The shared data package would deduct from this outbound data usage.

In contrast, inbound traffic, such as visitors downloading files from your site or receiving emails sent to your server, would not be deducted from the shared data package.

If you're looking for a cloud service provider that offers flexible data packages, Tencent Cloud provides various data plans that cater to different needs, allowing you to manage your outbound and inbound traffic efficiently.
