How to automatically back up data with one-click snapshot?

To automatically back up data with one-click snapshot, you can use cloud platform features that allow scheduling snapshots of your storage volumes or instances. This ensures data protection without manual intervention.

How It Works:

  1. Enable Snapshot Scheduling: Configure a policy to take snapshots at specified intervals (e.g., daily, weekly).
  2. One-Click Execution: Use a pre-configured snapshot template or dashboard button to trigger backups instantly.
  3. Retention Management: Set rules to retain or delete old snapshots automatically.

Example:

If you're running a database on a cloud virtual machine, you can:

  • Create a snapshot policy to back up the disk every night at 2 AM.
  • Use the "One-Click Snapshot" feature in the console to manually capture an immediate backup before updates.

For this, Tencent Cloud's Cloud Block Storage (CBS) supports scheduled snapshots and one-click manual backups. You can configure policies in the CBS console to automate the process. Additionally, Tencent Cloud's Snapshot Service integrates with other products like Cloud Virtual Machine (CVM) for seamless data protection.
