What are the Agent-based access methods?
There are two Agent-based access methods: direct access Agent and Tencent Cloud CVM access Agent.
Direct access Agent: In the Select Server step of the access process, manually enter the public IP address of the user machine.
Tencent Cloud CVM access Agent: In the Select Server step of the access process, retrieve the CVM from the list.
How does the direct access agent work?
In the Access Process, during the Select Server step, manually enter the public IP address of the user machine. Note:
User machine refers to a CVM purchased on Tencent Cloud, a cloud server instance purchased from other cloud providers, or a server with a public IP address set up by the user.
Direct access: How to Address the Issue of a Failed Agent Startup When Executing Deployment Commands?
Ensure that the agent's listening port is not occupied by other applications.
Direct access: After clicking to deploy and executing the deployment command, the deployment fails. How should this be addressed?
In most cases, this issue arises because the user machine cannot be accessed via the public network. Verify that the IP address entered is a public IP address, the relevant ports are open, and the public network is accessible.
How does the Tencent Cloud CVM access Agent work?

The possible reason is that access to the IP range 192.168.0.0/255.255.0.0 is prohibited in the security groups. See Modify Security Group Rules to change the prohibited IP range.
