Overview

SSL Certificates provide a one-stop service for secure sockets layer (SSL) Certificates, including certificate application, management, and deployment functionality. Partnering with top-level digital certificate authorization (CA) organizations and resellers, we offer HTTPS solutions for your website and mobile applications.

All SSL certificate APIs introduced in this section comply with the latest OpenAPI 3.0 specification.

You can call APIs to perform operations on Tencent Cloud SSL certificates, such as submitting certificate material, placing certificate orders, reissuing certificates, and revoking certificates.

Common terminology for SSL certificate API interface, see the table below:

Term Description
CA A certificate authority is a trusted third-party responsible for the issuance, signature, and management of digital certificates.
Certificate Types Certificate types are divided into DV (domain validation type), OV (enterprise validation type), and EV (enhanced validation type) by authentication level.
Domain Name Validation Domain name validation is the most critical step before a certificate authority issues a certificate. It aims to certify that the applicant possesses management permissions for that domain name. Verification methods include DNS validation and file verification.

Getting Started with APIs

You can use the API Explorer tool to call APIs online.

This document takes applying for a paid SSL certificate as an example to introduce the steps for calling an API through the API Explorer Tool.

  1. Go to the API Explorer tool page. For more API Explorer tool usage information, see Using API Explorer.
  2. Call CertificateInfoSubmit to submit certificate information.
  3. Call CertificateOrderSubmit to submit the certificate order to the certificate authority.
  4. Call DescribeCertificateDetail to query the certificate issue status.
  5. Call ReplaceCertificate to reissue the cert.
  6. Call RevokeCertificate to revoke certificate.
