Feature Introduction
When a cloud data disk in a cluster reaches its maximum benchmark performance, you can configure additional performance to break through the benchmark performance limit and achieve higher performance. This document describes how to adjust the additional performance of cloud data disks in the EMR console.
Note:
Only cloud data disks support additional performance adjustments.
Enhanced SSD, Tremendous SSD, and High IO Cloud Disk support performance adjustments only when their capacity is not less than 460 GB.
When adjusting additional performance for multi-node operations in batches, only nodes with the same billing model, availability zone (AZ), resource type, or node type can be operated in batches.
Operation Steps
1. Log in to the EMR console, then click the corresponding Cluster ID/Name in the cluster list to go to the cluster details page. 2. Go to the resource management page, and select the single-node operation or batch operation solution as needed:
2.1 Single-node performance adjustments: Select the node that requires additional performance adjustments. Choose More > Adjust Disk > Adjust Performance in the operation column of the list to go to the additional performance adjustment configuration page.
2.2 Multi-node batch performance adjustments: Choose Adjust Disk > Adjust Performance in the More Operations header to go to the additional performance adjustment configuration page.
3. In the pop-up Select Target Hard Disk window, select the cloud disk that requires additional performance adjustments, then click Next.
4. In the Adjust Capacity step, specify the Target Additional Performance (the value should be greater than the current additional performance). After the adjustment, the additional performance of the selected data disk will be resized to the specified capacity.
5. After confirming that the information is correct, click Confirm to start the adjustment of additional performance.
