Tencent Cloud Observability Platform (TCOP) will start billing for API interface requests on 2026-01-22 00:00:00. Each root account has a free quota of 1 million requests per month. To continue using APIs to pull monitoring data after exceeding the free quota, please manually activate "Pay-as-you-go API Requests" on the activation page. Once activated, the system will charge 0.035 USD per 10,000 requests.
Billing related API: GetMonitorData.
To view usage, please visit: Resource Consumption Page

Free Quota

Each root account has a free tier of 1 million requests per month. Once the free quota is exceeded, the GetMonitorData API will no longer be usable for pulling monitoring data. If needed, manually activate "pay-as-you-go billing for API requests" to continue calling the API.

Billing Activation Operation

Enter the API post-payment activation page to manually activate pay-as-you-go API requests. Once activated, you can make normal API calls beyond the free quota. You can also configure it in the resource consumption page to enable or disable pay-as-you-go API requests, or view API request volume on this page.

Billing Rule

Billing will be based on the following mode after exceeding the free quota.
Billing rates: $0.035 per 10,000 requests.
Billing formula: If the monthly cumulative request count exceeds 1 million, the billing amount per hour is: unit price × actual request count per hour / 10,000.
Note:
Enable pay-as-you-go billing for API requests. The system will prioritize using the main account's free tier of 1 million requests. Once the quota is exhausted, the system will charge based on hourly statistics of API interface request count.
Metered billing only applies to the GetMonitorData API request count when users proactively request data, excluding API request volume generated through console operations.
Using self-built Prometheus, API request count generated by calling the GetMonitorData API via tencentcloud-exporter is subject to billing.
When using the basic monitoring integration feature in the TencentCloud Managed Service for Prometheus console, only the data reporting cost will be charged for API requests, with no additional charges for GetMonitorData API call fees.
Using cloud service monitoring plug-in integration with Grafana will indirectly call the GetMonitorData API, and excess usage will be billed based on API request count.

Billing Examples

[Free Tier] balance has been exhausted.
Assuming a user's request count for the current month is 2 million times (>1 million times free quota), and the hourly request count is 20 thousand times.
The cost for that hour: 0.035 USD per 10,000 requests × 20,000 requests / 10,000 = 0.07 USD.
