Note:
Prepaid yearly/monthly subscription: For refund requests, each account entity is eligible for an unconditional full refund within five days of purchasing a cluster. Any additional refund requests are processed as non-full refunds.
Postpaid by hour: Resources are immediately returned, and refunds cannot be applied for. Any frozen fees will be unfrozen and returned to your Tencent Cloud account according to the Freezing Rules.
If you encounter any issues during the refund process, you may contact customer service at 4009100100 or submit a ticket for assistance.
To enhance your experience with TDMQ for RocketMQ, self-service returns and refunds are supported if you are unsatisfied with your yearly/monthly subscription cluster after purchase.

Five-day Unconditional Full Refund

Refund Policies

TDMQ for RocketMQ complies with the Instruction on Refunds for Cloud Services of Tencent Cloud. Each account entity is eligible for an unconditional full refund within five days (inclusive) of purchasing a TDMQ for RocketMQ cluster. The refund policies are as follows:
Each account entity may request an unconditional full refund for only one prepaid yearly/monthly subscription cluster.
For orders eligible for a five-day unconditional full refund, the refund amount is the total amount consumed at the time of purchase, including funds from the cash account, revenue transfer account, and gift account. For the specific refund policies, see Five-day Unconditional Full Refund.
Coupons or promo vouchers are non-refundable. The refund amount is fully returned to your Tencent Cloud account balance.
Clusters whose billing mode has been switched from pay-as-you-go to yearly/monthly subscription do not support a five-day unconditional return.
If the return involves a cluster purchased as part of a promotional campaign, and the refund policy conflicts with the campaign policy, the campaign policy shall prevail.
Tencent Cloud reserves the right to reject refund requests in cases of suspected abnormal or malicious return activities.

Non-Full Refund

For prepaid cloud products that do not meet the five-day unconditional full refund policy, the refund policies are as follows:
If you have already used the five-day unconditional full refund policy, other clusters can be returned through the self-service return process. For standard self-service returns, the refund will be issued to your Tencent Cloud account based on the proportion of cash and free credits used during the original purchase.
Refund amount = Payment amount – (Usage duration/Total duration) x Discount applied to the original order price
Usage duration less than one day is calculated as a full day. The applicable discount is determined based on the usage duration and the current system discount tier.
For specific examples of refund policies, see Self-service Refund Examples.
After a self-service return of a yearly/monthly subscription cluster, the cluster will be retained in an isolated status for 7 days, with its status displayed as Isolated. After 7 days, the cluster will be automatically deleted. The configuration and metadata of the cluster are retained during these 7 days, and you can recover the cluster during this period. However, the saved and unconsumed messages in the cluster will not be retained. Therefore, back up your data in advance.
If the return involves a cluster purchased as part of a promotional campaign, and the refund policy conflicts with the campaign policy, the campaign policy shall prevail.
Tencent Cloud reserves the right to reject refund requests in cases of suspected abnormal or malicious return activities.

Non-Full Refund Examples

Note:
The following prices are for reference only and may not match those on our official website. Actual unit prices are subject to change based on region, promotions, or other policies.

Background

A user purchases a Basic Edition RocketMQ cluster with specifications of 1,000 TPS in the Guangzhou region, using a USD 20 promo voucher for a one-month subscription with a 17% discount.
discount amount is 148.58 × 0.83 = 123.32 (USD).
Payment amount is 123.32 – 20 = 113.32 (USD).

Five-day Unconditional Self-Service Refund

If the user is not satisfied within 5 days of purchase and requests a refund, this will be the first refund for the account.
Refund amount = Actual payment amount = 113.32 (USD).

Non-Full Refund

After 10 days of purchase, with a total usage duration of 241 hours, and since this is not the first return for the account, the USD 20 promo voucher used during purchase is non-refundable.
Cash refund amount = Actual payment amount - Value of consumed resources = 113.32 - (241/720) × 113.32 = 75.39 (USD).

Downgrade Refund

Cluster downgrade follows the refund before repurchase principle. That is, Downgrade refund amount = Refund for resource return – Fee for purchasing new resources.
Promo vouchers and discounts used for purchasing products are non-refundable. Refunds for payments made by using non-coupon methods (such as cash, free credits, and cash vouchers) will be credited proportionally back to the payer's Tencent Cloud account by using the original payment methods.
Note:
Fees for purchasing cash vouchers are non-refundable. For orders paid with cash vouchers, the equivalent voucher amount will be refunded proportionally to the payer's Tencent Cloud account based on the original payment.
Resource return refund: The refund amount is calculated based on the non-full refund policies.
Fee for purchasing new resources: This fee is calculated based on the prices of new resources and the discount (matching the current discount in the system).

Refund Methods

You can perform self-service operations to delete or return the cluster in the corresponding TDMQ for RocketMQ console. The system will automatically initiate a refund and delete or return associated resources. For specific operations, see Returning/Deleting a Cluster.
