Scenarios

This article will help you quickly understand how to use Polaris (Polaris)'s nearby routing capability.

Prerequisite

The PolarisMesh has been created. For details, see Creating a Polaris (Polaris) Governance Center.

Operation Steps

Using Polaris's nearby routing capability mainly includes two parts:
Enable the nearby routing capability in the console.
On the client side, obtain region information through TencentCloud API or environment variables.

Step 1: Enable the Nearby Routing Capability in the Console

1. Log in to Tencent Microservices Platform console, select Polaris (Polaris), in the left sidebar to go to the engine instance list page.
2. Click the target service instance in the left sidebar, under Governance Center, click Service Management, and select the target Polaris instance from the dropdown above.
3. Click Target Service, click the Routing Rules Tab, select Nearby Routing, and then enable the Nearby Routing button.

Step 2: On the Client Side, Obtain Region Information Through TencentCloud API or Environment Variables
