Feature Description

collation_server is used to set the default collation for the server. The collation determines how strings are compared and collated. Moreover, it is associated with character sets, such as utf8mb4_general_ci and utf8mb4_unicode_ci.
collation_server The main purpose of the parameter is:
Set the default string comparison and collation for the server. This is very important for processing strings containing special characters or accent marks, because different collations may result in different comparison and collation outcomes.
When strings are compared on the server, the collation_server parameter determines how the comparison is performed. For example, when SQL queries are executed, if strings in the WHERE clause are compared against column values on the server, the collation specified by the collation_server parameter will be used for the comparison.
It is generally recommended to use a collation that matches the character_set_server parameter.
