Supported Versions
The TXSQL kernel of TDSQL for MySQL is a MySQL kernel branch independently developed by the Tencent Cloud database team. It supports MySQL 5.7 and MySQL 8.0 and is 100% compatible with native MySQL editions. It provides many core features for important enterprise-level scenarios, such as enterprise-level transparent data encryption, thread pool, hot spot update protection, and quick column addition. With these features, it significantly improves the performance and stability of databases and meets various business needs for databases.
In addition, earlier versions of TDSQL for MySQL are also compatible with the MariaDB kernel. Details are as follows:

Note:
TXSQL 8.0 (compatible with MySQL 8.0) is the recommended kernel version of TDSQL for MySQL. To enjoy the best performance and use the maintenance service, it is highly recommended that you purchase and use TDSQL for MySQL instances with TXSQL 8.0. You can use the DTS tool to migrate existing data to TXSQL 8.0 instances. If you have any questions, contact the customer service team. The end of Tencent Cloud support means that Tencent Cloud no longer accepts requirements for this kernel version and stops kernel version optimization and security vulnerability fixing. Customers who have been using instances of this version can continue to use them and need to pay attention to risks.
