When the available balance in your account is insufficient to complete the payment, the account enters the overdue payment state, and cluster operations may be affected. Top up your account promptly.

Overdue Payment for Yearly/Monthly Subscription Instances

Alarms

After you specify the message recipients and reception methods on the Message Subscription Management page, you will receive the following alarm information.
Alarm Type
Description
Expiration alarm
The instance will push expiration alarm messages to you on the 7th, 5th, 3rd, and 1st days before expiration, as well as on the expiration date. The alarm messages will be sent through email and Short Message Service (SMS) to the creator of the Tencent Cloud account, global resource collaborators, and financial collaborators.
Overdue payment alarm
The system will push alarm messages about isolation due to overdue payment to you on and after the instance expiration date. The alarm messages will be sent through email and SMS to the creator of the Tencent Cloud account and all collaborators.

Overdue Payments

Time
Description
7 days before expiration
The system will send you a renewal reminder notification.
On the expiration date
If your account balance is sufficient and you have enabled auto-renewal, the system will perform auto-renewal on the expiration date.
If your account has an overdue payment and neither auto-renewal nor manual renewal is performed, it will enter the isolation period on the expiration date.
Within 7 days after expiration
The instance status is Isolated. The data and configurations stored in the CKafka instance will not be deleted. Expired messages will continue to be automatically deleted based on the Apache Kafka mechanism.
During this period, you can manually renew the instance. After renewal, the instance recover to its normal status. The renewal cycle starts from the expiration date of the previous cycle.
Note:
After the instance is isolated, existing connections may become invalid. After renewing the service for the instance and waiting for it to recover to its normal status, proceed to restore client applications.
More than 7 days after expiration
If the instance is not renewed within 7 days (including the 7th day) after expiration, the system will release the resources within approximately 24 hours after expiration. All data in the expired instance will be deleted and cannot be recovered.

Overdue Payments for Postpaid by Hour Instance

Alarms

After you specify the message recipients and reception methods on the Message Subscription Management page, you will receive the following alarm information.
Alarm Type
Description
Overdue payment reminder
The system will deduct fees for pay-as-you-go resources at each full hour. When your account balance becomes negative, we will notify the Tencent Cloud account creator, as well as global resource collaborators and financial collaborators, through email and SMS.
Overdue payment alarm
This feature is disabled by default. If you need to use this feature, see Balance Alarm Guide.

Handling Overdue Payments

From the moment your account balance becomes negative, the instance remains usable and will continue to incur fees for 24 hours. After 24 hours, the instance service will be suspended. You cannot send or receive messages normally, access to the console and cloud APIs will be disabled, and resource usage fees will continue to be incurred.
After the service is stopped, the system will process the instance as follows:
Time After Service Is Stopped
Description
≤ 7 days
If your account balance is topped up to a positive balance, the billing will resume, and the instance will recover to its normal status.
If your account balance is not topped up to a positive balance, the instance cannot be recovered.
> 7 days
If your account balance is not topped up to a positive balance, the instance resources will be deleted. All data of the instance will be deleted and cannot be recovered. When instance resources are deleted, we will notify the root account of the Tencent Cloud account, as well as sub-accounts and collaborators who have subscribed to the messages through email and SMS.
