Billing Scenarios

Assume that a user purchased a Pro Edition instance with the postpaid by hour billing mode in the Guangzhou region at 13:20:00 on May 15, 2024. After using the instance for a period, the user upgraded its specifications at 10:00:00 on May 20, 2024, as the original specifications could not meet business requirements. The specifications before and after the upgrade are as follows:
Specifications
Before Upgrade
After Upgrade
Peak bandwidth
240 MB/s
320 MB/s
Disk (Cloud SSD)
1000 GB
3000 GB

1800
Since the user intended to use the instance for a long period of time, they changed the billing mode of the instance to yearly/monthly subscription at 10:30:00 on May 25, 2024, with a subscription period of 3 months.

117 hours in total
Postpaid by hour
Peak bandwidth (240 MB/s)
Billing unit price = 0.96 + (240 - 120)/20 x 0.08 = 1.44 USD/hour
Total price = 1.44 x 117 = USD 168.48
Disk (1000 GB)
Billing unit price = 0.0003 USD/GB/hour
Total price = 0.0003 x 1000 x 117 = USD 35.1
Partitions (1700)
Billing unit price = 0.05 USD/100 partitions/hour
Billing quantity = 1700 - 1600 = 100 partitions (The package includes 1600 free partitions; the additional 100 partitions are billable.)
Total price = 0.05 x (100/100) x 117 = USD 5.85
