When the available balance in your account is insufficient to complete the payment, the account enters the overdue payment status, and cluster operations may be affected. Top up your account promptly.

Overdue Payment for Monthly Subscription Clusters

Alarms

After you specify the message recipients and delivery methods on the Message Subscription Management page, you will receive the following alarm information.
Alarm Type
Description
Expiration alarm
The cluster will push expiration alarm messages to you on the 7th day, 5th day, 3rd day, and 1st day before expiration, as well as on the expiration date. The alarm messages will be sent through email and Short Message Service (SMS) to the creator of the Tencent Cloud account, global resource collaborators, and financial collaborators.
Overdue payment alarm
The cluster will push alarm messages about isolation due to overdue payment to you on and after the expiration date. The alarm messages will be sent through email and SMS to the creator of the Tencent Cloud account and all collaborators.

Overdue Payments

Time
Description
7 days before expiration
The system will send you a renewal reminder notification.
On the expiration date
If your account balance is sufficient and you have enabled auto-renewal, the system will perform auto-renewal on the expiration date.
If your account has an overdue payment and neither auto-renewal nor manual renewal is performed, it will enter the isolation period on the expiration date.
Within 24 hours after expiration
The cluster can be used normally. If you renew the cluster during this period, the renewal cycle for the renewed cluster will start from the expiration date of the previous cycle.
If you do not manually renew the cluster, the cluster will enter the isolation period 24 hours after expiration.
Within 7 days after expiration
The cluster status is displayed as isolated. The configuration and metadata of the cluster will be retained, but the saved and unconsumed messages in the cluster will not be retained. Therefore, back up your data in advance.
During this period, you can manually renew the service. The renewal period for the renewed cluster starts from the expiration date of the previous cycle.
More than 7 days after expiration
If the cluster is not renewed within 7 days (including the 7th day) after expiration, the system will release the resources within 24 hours after expiration. All data in the cluster will be deleted and cannot be recovered.

Overdue Payment for Pay-as-You-Go Clusters

Alarms

After you specify the message recipients and delivery methods on the Message Subscription Management page, you will receive the following alarm information.
Alarm Type
Description
Overdue payment reminder
The system will deduct fees for pay-as-you-go resources at each full hour. When your account balance becomes negative, we will notify the creator of the Tencent Cloud account, as well as global resource collaborators and financial collaborators through email and SMS.
Overdue payment alarm
This feature is disabled by default. If you need to use this feature, see Balance Alarm Guide.

Handling Overdue Payments

From the moment your account balance becomes negative, the cluster remains usable and will continue to incur fees for 24 hours. After 24 hours, the cluster service will be suspended. You cannot send or receive messages normally, access to the console and cloud APIs will be disabled, and resource usage fees will continue to be incurred.
After the service is stopped, the system will process the cluster as follows:
Time After Service Is Stopped
Description
≤ 7 days
If your account balance is topped up to a positive balance, the billing will resume, and the cluster will return to its normal status.
If your account balance is not topped up to a positive balance, the cluster cannot be recovered.
> 7 days
If your account balance is not topped up to a positive balance, the cluster resources will be deleted. All data of the cluster will be deleted and cannot be recovered. When cluster resources are deleted, we will notify the root account of the Tencent Cloud account, as well as sub-accounts and collaborators who have subscribed to the messages through email and SMS.
