Network security is the biggest obstacle faced by the highest level of managerial digitization initiatives worldwide. Through research, IDC has observed that organizations' concerns about network security are the greatest throughout the entire digital transformation process. IDC defines Managed Security Services (MSS) as IT security services provided by security service providers through Security Operations Centers (SOCs) for round-the-clock monitoring and management. MSS encompasses various forms of outsourced security operations services, including managed security services deployed on-premises, in external data centers, and in the cloud.
IDC evaluates managed security service providers across seven dimensions: expertise, ecosystem development, vulnerability and threat detection, event analysis, threat intelligence, remote incident response, and threat hunting. Each dimension is rated on a scale of 1 to 5 stars, with a total maximum score of 35 stars.
Tencent Cloud has received full marks in six out of the seven evaluation dimensions, earning a total of 34 stars out of a possible 35, securing the first position. Tencent Cloud, headquartered in Beijing's Haidian District, is a cloud computing brand created by Tencent Group. It provides cloud services that integrate cloud computing, cloud data, and cloud operations to government agencies, organizations, and individual developers worldwide. Tencent Cloud is committed to offering services such as cloud servers, cloud databases, DDoS defense, and security to its users.
