Challenges & Goals
Netmarble faced significant operational and cost challenges. Technically, the development team required a robust client-side SDK technology that demanded continuous re-adaptation with every new mobile device launch. Similar platform adjustments were necessary to ensure compatibility across diverse PC models. Furthermore, supporting entirely different platforms, such as consoles, required Netmarble to develop corresponding, specialized client environments and SDKs in advance, driving development effort and investment costs to substantial levels.
The scale of data handling also presented a major financial obstacle. Daily data inflows ranged from at least 100,000 to millions of entries, accumulating into billions of entries monthly. Processing this massive data volume for services resulted in infrastructure costs that grew significantly year-over-year, leading to increased annual expenditures in the hundreds of millions.

Why Tencent Cloud
The initial appeal of the Tencent Cloud solution was primarily driven by cost efficiency. Netmarble had previously maintained its proprietary system in-house for approximately seven years, representing a substantial capital investment. This in-house system required a complex client-side Software Development Kit (SDK) technology, which needed continuous re-adaptation and adjustment with every launch of new mobile devices and PC models. Furthermore, since console platforms required entirely different SDKs, the corresponding development effort and associated costs were significant.
Handling massive daily data—ranging from hundreds of thousands to billions of entries monthly—added further complexity. As this data was sent to and processed by servers, the infrastructure costs for data handling also grew significantly year-over-year, escalating to hundreds of millions in expenditures.
Given that Netmarble's core business is game operation, the financial and resource burden associated with developing and operating such extensive infrastructure became overly cumbersome, leading the company to seek alternatives. Coincidentally, the Tencent Cloud CrashSight solution offered highly favorable terms.
However, the decision was not solely based on the consideration of cost. Netmarble dedicated approximately one year to a comprehensive pilot program, thoroughly evaluating Tencent Cloud’s service performance, data consistency, and usability from multiple technical and operational angles. Following this rigorous review, the solution was deemed technically excellent, leading Netmarble to officially select CrashSight.
Ultimately, the relationship that developed between Netmarble and Tencent Cloud transcended a typical vendor-client dynamic, evolving into a collaborative partnership characterized by deep trust.

WeTest Ensuring Stability Through Data Collection:
The WeTest solution plays a crucial role in maintaining application stability by collecting data on the app's crash status. This data enables proactive monitoring of app stability and, in the event of a crash, provides detailed information regarding the underlying cause. Essentially, this system acts as a key provider of essential debugging information. The system's reach extends to the client side, encompassing mobile devices, PCs, and gaming consoles.
SDK Technology Facilitates Massive Data Transmission:
Tencent's CrashSight necessitates robust Software Development Kit (SDK) technology to capture and transmit the system status from diverse client devices to the server. This required SDK component is critical for seamless data transfer. Furthermore, the nature of this operation involves the constant transmission of a massive volume of data to the server infrastructure.
Successfully processing this massive incoming data volume requires numerous system components on the server side, necessitating sophisticated infrastructure management and operational capabilities. When Netmarble sought a system that could reliably provide this combination of capabilities, Tencent's CrashSight was selected due to its proven infrastructure management and operational capacity.
Collaborative Relationship and Trust Building:
Netmarble is currently integrating and managing several AI-related services and systems. Among these is the Perf Site system from CrashSight, which focuses on performance monitoring. Additionally, Netmarble is incorporating various services featuring integrated, automated AI into its current operational frameworks. The strong collaborative relationship and deep trust established between Netmarble and Tencent Cloud team have been instrumental in supporting these ongoing efforts.
