Feature Introduction

The WAF Batch Protection module enables unified configuration of protection rules for protected objects intended to use identical security policies, reducing the tedious process of manual configuration one by one and improving work efficiency. Through this module, users can group protected objects sharing the same protection policies and batch configure rules for the following protection modules: Custom allow rules, IP allowlist, IP blocklist, Web Security, IP blocking, Regional blocking, Access control, CC protection, BOT and Custom Rules.

Rule Type

For a single domain name protected by SaaS WAF, the total number of rules in a protection module consists of rules specifically configured for that domain and batch protection rules. Both types of rules collectively occupy the number of rules quota for that domain. For details on the maximum number of rules supported per domain across different plan editions and protection modules, see Plans and Editions.
Taking the configuration of access control rules as an example, users can configure rules for a single domain name protected by SaaS WAF through the steps described in the Access Control documentation, or simultaneously set access control rules for multiple protected objects including that domain through the steps described in the Batch Protection Rule documentation.
On the Basic Security - Access Control page, Domain name-specific and Batch protection are displayed simultaneously and support filtering.
On the Basic Security - Access Control page, users can directly edit or delete Domain name-specific, while Batch protection require operation in the batch protection rules module.
