PAG Overview
PAG (Portable Animated Graphics) is an end-to-end workflow solution for animated effects, designed to minimize or eliminate development costs associated with motion graphics. With PAG, designers can export animation content created in AE (Adobe After Effects) as asset files in a single click and seamlessly deploy them across nearly all major platforms.
TencentEffectStudio primarily uses animated effects in the PAG format. To work effectively with TencentEffectStudio, you need to understand how to create and export PAG effects. PAG Package: Place all files related to a single effect asset—including multiple .pag files, images, and other resources—into a single folder. This folder is referred to as a PAG package.
PAG Export Dimensions:
Facial stickers: Size according to the sticker design, with the long side not exceeding 1024 px.
Panorama (foreground/background) dynamic stickers: The long side should not exceed 720 px.
Static stickers: Width should not exceed 720 px and height should not exceed 1280 px. Export a single PNG (within 720 × 1280) directly from Photoshop when possible.
PAG Frame Rate: 24 fps.
PAG Duration: Typically around 5 seconds, with a maximum of 8 seconds except for special cases (such as lyrics). Ensure the animation loops seamlessly from start to end.
PAG Naming: Use the initials of the pinyin for naming, for example: foreground PAG: qj.pag; background removal PAG: kb.pag; left blush PAG: zsh.pag, etc.
PAG Quantity: A PAG package should ideally contain no more than 5 individual PAG files.
PAG Package Size: The total size of all PAG files in a package should not exceed 5 MB.
