Before creating a Cloud Virtual Desktop (CVD) instance, you need to select a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) network, which serves as a dedicated cloud network space where you can place your CVD resources. This enhances the security of your cloud-based CVD resources and meets the requirements of different application scenarios. Configuring the CVD instance network based on a VPC network enables mutual access between the CVD instance and other businesses or cloud products, public network access for the CVD instance, and cross-VPC access for the CVD instance.

Creating a VPC Network

CVD instances should be used in conjunction with VPC networks. Prepare a Tencent Cloud VPC network that meets your requirements in advance. For more information about how to create a VPC network, see VPC Creation Guide. The VPC network/subnet of a CVD instance cannot be changed after its creation.

Accessing Resources in Another VPC Network from a CVD Instance

Peering Connection

You can use Peering Connection to enable a CVD instance to access resources in another VPC network. Peering Connection supports cross-VPC network interconnection within the same account and across different accounts. For more information about how to create a peering connection for your CVD instance, see the following links:

Cloud Connect Network

You can use Cloud Connect Network (CCN) to enable a CVD instance to access resources in two or more VPC networks. CCN supports cross-VPC network interconnection within the same account and across different accounts. You can implement a CCN instance for your CVD instance by referring to the following links:

Accessing the Internet from a CVD Instance by Using a NAT Gateway

NAT Gateway is an IP address translation service. You can bind elastic IP addresses (EIPs) to your NAT gateway, so that it can provide secure, high-performance Internet access for your CVD instance within a VPC network.
Note:
When you create a NAT gateway, correctly select its associated VPC network and configure routing rules to direct subnet traffic to the NAT gateway.
For the configuration guide on NAT Gateway, see:
