This document describes the overdue policy for Tencent Cloud Bandwidth Package. To avoid any impact on your business due to expiration of a bandwidth package instance or account arrears, you should renew it promptly.
Overdue Policy for Prepaid Bandwidth Packages
Currently, only general BGP and dedicated BGP bandwidth packages support the prepaid monthly subscription billing mode. The overdue policy is described as follows:
General BGP Bandwidth Package (Monthly Subscription)
When the account is in arrears:
If the prepaid bandwidth package has not expired, its usage will not be affected.
If the prepaid bandwidth package has expired, it will enter the isolation period in 7 days (all IP addresses will be unavailable during the isolation period).
A prepaid general BGP bandwidth package in the isolation period does not support adding resources. It supports migrating resources to a prepaid bandwidth package not in the isolation period, but does not support migrating resources to a pay-as-you-go bandwidth package.
During the isolation period, you can release the package from isolation by renewal.
If renewal is not completed within 7 days in the isolation period, the prepaid bandwidth package will be terminated when the isolation period ends. The IP addresses within the package will be removed from it and billed by traffic.
Dedicated BGP Bandwidth Package (Monthly Subscription)
When the account is in arrears:
If the prepaid bandwidth package has not expired, its usage will not be affected.
If the prepaid bandwidth package has expired, it will enter the isolation period in 7 days (all IP addresses will be unavailable during the isolation period).
A prepaid dedicated BGP bandwidth package in the isolation period does not support adding or removing resources. It also does not support migrating resources to a pay-as-you-go bandwidth package.
During the isolation period, you can release the package from isolation by renewal.
If renewal is not completed within 7 days in the isolation period, the prepaid bandwidth package will be terminated when the isolation period ends. The IP addresses within the package will be terminated together.
Overdue Policy for Pay-as-You-Go Bandwidth Packages
For AIA BGP bandwidth packages as well as general BGP and static single-line bandwidth packages created before March 28, 2023, the overdue policy is as follows:
1. From the moment the balance becomes negative, your account is in arrears. The bandwidth package can still be used and billed for the next 2 hours.
2. If your account is not topped up to a positive balance after 2 hours, the bandwidth package service will be automatically suspended and billing will stop.
3. If your account is still not topped up to a positive balance within 24 hours after suspension of the bandwidth package service, the bandwidth package will remain unavailable until your account balance is above zero.
4. If the negative balance lasts for 24 hours after suspension of the bandwidth package service, the bandwidth package will be immediately repossessed.
5. When the bandwidth package is repossessed, we will notify the creator of your Tencent Cloud account and all collaborators via email and SMS.
For dedicated BGP bandwidth packages as well as general BGP and static single-line bandwidth packages created after March 28, 2023, the overdue policy is as follows:
1. From the moment the balance becomes negative, your account is in arrears. The bandwidth package will immediately enter the grace period (2 hours), during which it can still be used and billed.
2. If your account is not topped up to a positive balance after 2 hours, the bandwidth package will enter the service suspension period (15 days), during which the service will be automatically suspended and billing will stop.
3. If your account is still not topped up to a positive balance during the service suspension period (15 days), the bandwidth package will remain unavailable until your account balance is above zero.
4. If your account remains in arrears after the service suspension period (15 days), the billing platform will initiate the resource reclamation process and your bandwidth package will be automatically repossessed.
